A canopy of copper mesh was designed for the entrance of the Cranbrook Academy of
Art campus. The two mesh panels which compose the canopy are supported by five elliptical
columns. Each column is fifteen feet high and connects to steel tubes which curve
upward at 45-degree angles. These steel tubes support the mesh panels from above.
Also included in the design are an operator booth, arrival plaza with concrete benches,
sculptures and a patterned paving plan; and lamp posts across the campus.
